IKEA...

When I first read this brief which was to design a campaign to advertise the 2011 IKEA catalogue I thought that it would be a really fun brief to answer. Little did i know how difficult it was going to be! Until I started researching the company's visual identity I had no idea of the sheer number of previous adverts that had been created. Every time I felt that I had an interesting idea I later found out that it had already been designed.
After many different visual experiments I created a series of posters which were made up of construction elements often included in IKEA furniture packaging. I designed these images with the thought in mind that they could be used in posters and hand outs as well as billboards and magazine adverts.
